Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between FIDE and local ratings?
FIDE ratings are international and come from FIDE-rated events. Local ratings come from local rated events in the Philippines. Many players have both.
Where does the rating data come from?
FIDE ratings come from the official FIDE rating list. Local ratings come from rated events played in the Philippines. Both are refreshed monthly; the date above the results shows the latest update.
How often are ratings updated?
FIDE publishes new ratings on the 1st of every month. Local ratings are updated after rated events are processed, and we refresh this page monthly.
I can't find my rating. What should I do?
Check the spelling, or try just your last name. You can type names in any order, like “Juan Santos” or “Santos, Juan”. New players appear after their first rated event is processed.
How do I get a rating?
Play in a rated tournament. Local-rated events give you a local rating, and FIDE-rated events give you a FIDE rating once you meet FIDE's minimum games. Browse rated events on the Tournaments page.
