Battle of Barangays — Manila’s Strongest Teams Collide!
📅 Date: August 18, 2025
⚡ Format: Rapid (15 minutes + 3 seconds increment)
🔁 System: 9-Round Swiss | Match Point Scoring System
💰 Prize Pool: Over ₱500,000 in Cash + Trophies

🎯 Eligibility & Team Guidelines:
Open to Manila residents, 18 years old and above
Teams of 4 players
Board 1 must be a Titled Player (GM, IM, FM, NM – male or female; not required to be a Manila resident)
Boards 2–4 must be Manila residents with:
• Valid government-issued ID
• Barangay Certificate of Residency
Team Average Rating (Boards 2–4): Must not exceed 2000 (as of June 2025 local ratings)
Unrated or 1750 & below players will be assigned a 1750 rating
🏆 Prizes:
• 🥇 1st – ₱150,000 + Trophy
• 🥈 2nd – ₱100,000 + Trophy
• 🥉 3rd – ₱70,000 + Trophy
• 4th – ₱50,000 + Trophy
• 5th – ₱40,000 + Trophy
• 6th – ₱30,000 + Trophy
• 7th – ₱20,000 + Trophy
• 8th – ₱20,000 + Trophy
• 9th – ₱10,000 + Trophy
• 10th – ₱10,000 + Trophy
